Our
Story
Little Squirrel Knitting Co. was born from a love of animals, their personalities, and the desire to see them in artisanal sweaters. Each fox is hand knit in Maine, with natural fiber yarn inspired by the colors of the New England coasts and forests. “The foxes” are a little different. They’re not baby toys or souvenirs — they’re more like someone you know. Or better yet, like your favorite childhood stuffed animal, all grown up, who’s seen some things and can't wait to tell you about them.

what's in the Fox?
Each fox is 17" tall, 5" wide, and weighs about 5oz. Its body, legs, arms, and tail are filled with buckwheat hulls and its head is stuffed with polyfil. Some sweaters are 100% wool and some are 50% lightly-felted wool, 25% viscose and 25% alpaca. The rest of the fox is knit from merino wool, yak, and alpaca blend yarns. Each one comes with a tag bearing their name and backstory. Due to their sophisticated nature and small parts, they are not a safe baby, small child or dog toy. They don't stand up by themselves or have any internal wires that can be adjusted.
